We all know the best part of an awards show is the gowns! Let's face it, if you're like us, you probably haven't even seen half of the movies nominated, and you could care less about the winner. It's all about the glamour, the pageantry and the show. Of course, part of that show is walking the red carpet, and our eyes were on this year's fashions.
Let's start with Kentucky girl, Jennifer Lawrence. She was stunning in his classic gown. No sequins, no train, no slit, just pure eloquence. She is proof that sometimes less is more. Oh, and you need not worry about showing personality, we think the bold, red color did just the trick. It's fun, sassy, and playful just like our favorite leading lady!
Wow. Wow. WOW!! We thought Lupita Nyong'o was outstanding in this pleated white gown. The plunging neckline was sexy without being risque. The layers of flowing chiffon and the train further appeal to that vintage Hollywood glamour that is so timeless. Twenty years from now, this will still be stunning. By the way, of you're looking for inspiration for a destination wedding, this might just be your starting point.
We couldn't decide which gown to highlight here because Sandra Bullock and Amy Adams were dressed so similarly. We finally decided that since we had already shown you on star from American Hustle (Jennifer Lawrence) we would mix it up with this "Gravity" star. Again, classy, simple, modest, clean lines. We love the sweetheart neckline, the train, the color. Is navy the new black? We'll have to wait and see, but this would make a perfect pageant gown...would it not?
Last but not least, Momma Kate was sizzling in this. Like Lupita Nyong'o's gown, this too has a plunging neckline. However, rather the flowing layers of chiffon, this gown is hip hugging and beaded. It's sexy meets classy, and we are just crazy over the dramatic cape.
So...who were you're winners for best dressed?
