Great Gatsby Style

As promised we're back with looks inspired by the Great Gatsby.  Chances are that if you've been formal or accessory shopping at all this season, you've noticed some dreamy, romantic, and fun fashions inspired by the 1920's.

Gatsby dresses are all about fun and flair with a touch of sophistication and elegance.  They are both  long and short, but always fitted and embellished with lots a sparkle from beads to sequence and even some lace.  Ladies in the 1920s were more worried about showing off their clothes than their bodies, so cuts tend to be modest.

A-Line dresses with dropped waists really helped define the look.  However, dresses like the one you see above were also popular.  They accentuated the waist and created an hour glass look.  Plus, they were flowing in the bottom which made them ideal for bottom heavy ladies.

Great Gatsby inspired dresses will be hot this season and who could resist the charm and glamour of the 1920's.
